Recently, China UnionPay announced the list of qualified companies under the Guideline on Life Cycle Safety and Quality Management of UnionPay Card Acceptance Terminal Products (referred to as Guidline), and LANDI Commercial Equipment Co., Ltd. (referred to as LANDI) successfully became one of the first three terminal manufacturers to pass the on-site evaluation.

The on-site evaluation was conducted through score-rating. The first test must be more than 80 points (out of 100). Otherwise, the UnionPay Certification Office would no longer accept the company’s certification application for one year. The Guideline presents rigorous considerations in many aspects such as corporate qualification, information security management capabilities, independent research and development capabilities, service capabilities, product life cycle (safety) management, configuration management, and quality management, etc.

According to the Guideline, LANDI further sorted out and improved the rules for organization construction and various process management, supplemented by implementation of IT management tools to ensure that the risks in all stages of the terminal life cycle would be controllable.
